A cardboard box with an orange tabby cat and two additional smaller kittens was discovered by a family on a farm north of Montreal, Canada. Sadly, despite efforts to save them, one of the smaller kittens did not survive.
The family approached the local Chatons Orphelins Montreal rescue facility, hoping to find aid for the two remaining felines and provide them a loving home.
“The family went a considerable distance in the middle of the night to bring the kittens to us so they could have a shot at survival.”
Staff at the rescue facility went on to say:
“We found that the two kittens were not from the same litter. The gray kitten’s umbilical chord was still attached to the orange kitten, which was believed to be four weeks old.
Ron (orange) and Ginny (purple) were the cats’ names (grey). When it was sleep time, Ron would wrap his arms around the small gray cat, and Ginny would close her eyes and cling to Ron for warmth and protection.
According to the rescue center,
“Throughout the day, their foster mother bottle-fed them every two hours. They were more animated and began to acquire weight.”
Montreal’s Chatons Orphelins added:
“Ron was a little kitten, but he was quite kind to the other cat and attempted to look after him. Despite the fact that they were apart for three weeks, Ron stayed with Ginny the entire time, giving her hugs and kisses.”
Around the same time, the rescue center got Scottie, a little kitty who was looking for a feline companion. Scottie, the lone kitten that managed to move forward, had kept with his brothers within a wall.
The kitten had survived a variety of health issues thanks to his foster mother’s care and was ready for a second chance at life.
They chose to introduce her to Ron, who was the same age as her, after everything was set for her to meet other kittens. Ron approached his new acquaintance and entrusted him to his care and protection.
Ron was a bouncy cat that encouraged Scottie to wrestle and play by giving him big embraces as if he knew just what the tuxedo feline needed.
Ron was growing agitated and obnoxious. He was ecstatic to have found a new companion with whom he could share his unfettered energy and crazy.
The following information was supplied by the rescue center:
“If we look for Scottie, we’ll also come across Ron. They do everything together, and Scottie is overjoyed to have a playmate with whom to play.”
