Little Wanderers NYC, a New York-based animal rescue organization, got an urgent plea about a newborn kitten that needed to be rescued towards the end of December. The kitten had been abandoned in a pot and was saved by a good individual who chose to act because there was no mother nearby.
This kind individual searched the region but was unable to locate the mother cat or any more kittens. Olivia, from Little Wanderers, rushed the kitten into a specialist foster home right away.
Volunteers say the mother cat didn’t even clean the kitten after it was born, leading them to suspect she abandoned the baby there straight after delivery and never returned.
The cute gray kitten was around 48 hours old and very hungry when he arrived at the rescue center; as soon as he came, the cat shown tremendous passion by clinging to the bottle like there was no tomorrow. Because the kitten was still so young, it required the continual warmth of an incubator and was fed every 1-2 hours during the day.
When he was three days old, a shelter volunteer called Angela Yu took care of him. Angela became convinced that the kitten would not survive because of gastric issues.
The mother adhered to a tight and intensive feeding regimen while providing supportive care; she was motivated to assist the child in every way possible. The small abandoned kitten recovered after a few restless nights, which gave Angela a lot of hope that the cat would make it.
They discovered the cat was a female as she grew older, but the name they gave her stayed.
Angela explains:
“I’ve been referring to her as Tiny.” Every time she cleansed her butt, she yelled. She demonstrated to me that she had the courage and will to live.
Tiny was making huge steps in her recovery and surprised her adoptive mother with everything she could accomplish. She quickly learned to eat from a dish on her own, revealing her naughty and lively demeanor.
Angela stated, ”
“She jumped out of her playpen a couple times and is now able to run freely throughout my house.” Everyone loves to play with Tiny because she believes everything is a toy.”
Tiny has come a long way since she was discovered in a flowerpot. She is currently a lovely little kitten that is in excellent health. Little Wanderers NYC is seeking for new foster volunteers in New York City; there are a lot of cases coming in every day, and cats and kittens in need of particular care.
Tiny has won everyone’s heart with his outgoing nature and will to succeed. She is flourishing as a result of her foster care and feels she is in good hands with her foster mother.
The employees at the center stated:
“We weren’t sure if he’d make it when he was only two days old. But, due to Angela, she has received the greatest upbringing an orphaned kitty could hope for.”
