Isabella had lived with the same household her entire life until her owner died, leaving the 18-year-old cat alone. She was taken in by a member of her owner’s family for a short time, but they quickly decided they couldn’t care for her and surrendered her to the RSPCA in April. Isabella has been there ever since and would like to retire to a peaceful environment.
Isabella has so much love to give, despite the fact that she is already 18 years old (126 years in human years) and entirely blind. Isabella was allowed to spend her days at reception at the RSPCA Thanet branch, rather than in a kennel, due to her advanced age.
In a news release, Emily Mayer, an animal care assistant at the RSPCA Thanet office, said, “She is liked by everyone who meets her.” “She enjoys being in people’s company, being hugged on their laps, and being groomed.
Isabella has her own bed in the reception area, where she spends her days snuggled up and enjoying scratches from passers-by. Her age makes her quiet and reserved, and all she wants is a little attention.
Being stroked is one of Isabella’s favorite things in the world…
…and all she wants is to find a peaceful home where she can spend her days on the sofa with her new family, being stroked and pampered for the rest of her life.
Isabella, in addition to being blind, suffers from high blood pressure and requires daily medicine, but the RSPCA is willing to continue to pay her pharmaceutical costs after she finds a new home. Isabella may be elderly, but everyone who knows her understands what a wonderful addition she would be to any family, and she has high expectations of finding a new home soon.
