Paige, who lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States, went to work one day and had no idea she’d come home with a little ball of fur curled warmly in her arms. A stray tabby kitten crept out of a grassy ditch and was overjoyed to encounter a woman who couldn’t leave him there.
The kitten appeared to be homeless and without a home. Paige’s classmate discovered him, and she couldn’t leave him to his destiny when she saw him vulnerable on the street, so she took him to work without hesitation.
The small kitten immediately won the hearts of everyone in the company, and some even promised to assist her in anything she needed to succeed.
Paige explains:
“I had a vet appointment for my (resident) cat later that week, so I promised to ‘babysit’ him until then. While I was working, he fell asleep on my chest, and when everyone saw how at ease he was with me, everyone agreed that he picked us.
The woman chose the name Hamlet for the cat and welcomed him into her household. Hamlet began eating solid food like a full-grown kitten within a week after weaning, and he was happy and comfortable.
Paige explains:
Caresses have always inspired him, and once he feels at ease with you, he will not leave you alone. He behaves like a dog in most situations; he comes when I call his name, he meets me at the door, and he doesn’t mind playing in the rain.”
Lady Catherine, Paige’s resident cat, was a little wary of the newcomer, but the loving Hamlet was desperate to win her heart. He made it a point to play beside her and led her about the home like she was her clinging little brother.
Hamlet acclimated swiftly to life as an indoor kitty, enjoying observing his mother at the computer and leaping on the desk or sitting comfortably on her lap.
Of course, Hamlet is very protective of his mother, the tabby cat, who makes sure she is safe whenever she takes a shower. His personality began to show more each day as he grew older.
Paige remembers:
“Every day in the shower, he stands and stares at me.” She glances through the translucent Window as she stands on the edge between the two curtains.
Hamlet has visited his mother’s job to see his pals on a few occasions, and whenever he does, he warmly welcomes the people around him and offers him a few cuddles. The kitten has developed into a wonderful fluffy kitty in a short amount of time.
Hamlet had been looking for Paige at that office for three years. He is her constant friend and continues to follow her about the home, searching for her love.
