After surviving on the chilly streets, a cute kitten followed a cat from a house and determined to stay by his side. Fortunately, the cat’s family let her into their home, and her life was forever transformed.
For several days, Alice McColl and her family had observed a homeless cat prowling about their neighborhood. As a result, they started leaving food and water in her house’s garden in case the sad cat wanted to return.
The cat reappeared a few hours later, accompanied by two little kittens, to fetch some food from the one in the garden.
They decided to call a local rescue organisation for assistance after seeing the homeless cat with her pups. But, as they waited for assistance, just one young kitten returned; she appeared alone and her mother never returned to seek for her; she appeared abandoned.
Alice’s family continued to look after the small child, while her cat, Otley, stood by and observed the homeless kitten from afar. He was curious, but he didn’t appear to mind the small girl’s presence; instead, he seemed to be interested in keeping a watch on her movements.
Otley went outdoors one day to sunbathe and enjoy some fresh air, and it was then that he decided to become friends with the feline. The small girl appeared to have established her home in the backyard, and she, too, decided to up the confidence to approach Otley.
He knew he was a nice child when he scented him and began following him around like he had discovered his bigger brother. Otley, on the other hand, didn’t seem to mind having a clingy new companion, and walked into the house with the kitten following closely after him.
As Alice saw this endearing sight, she realized that they had created a particular link, and that the little girl had chosen her house as her home as well. The beautiful kitten was promptly cleaned up and made herself at home before having a long cuddle session with her new family, and she was overjoyed.
Her new family dubbed her Birdie, and everyone came to appreciate her presence; she relished the attention and caresses she received. Birdie has been Otley’s shadow since she arrived at the mansion, refusing to break from him and become his protégé.
“She adores him and follows him around everywhere; he seemed to enjoy having a companion to spend his days with.”
The cute Birdie seemed to be overjoyed to have a cozy home with plenty of food, toys, and a lovely place to sleep.
