On October 26, the good-hearted man heard little meows while working in a tire store in Commerce City, Colorado. The incessant screams were coming from a truck parked near the scene, and they were coming from a cat. The small child appeared to be in a lot of pain, and the temperature was freezing.
The man was surprised to see a tabby kitten clinging to the edge of a semi-trailer tire when he arrived to the source of the agonizing meows.
The small homeless cat was presumably hunting for warmth to defend herself from the coming winter cold, but she found herself in a terrible predicament.
Her little paws had been frozen and stuck to the metal side of the tire, and she was urgently trying to release herself. As a result, the man decided to act and began devising a plan to securely rescue the small child.
“The first task was to figure out how to liberate the kitten’s legs and tail without giving her any more pain or misery.”
She then crawled beneath the vehicle and began washing the kitten’s tail and paws with warm water. This was supposed to assist them separate from the metal surface, so after a half-hour, he was able to unstick the small child and cover her in a blanket.
The kitten was taken to the Dumb Friends League in Colorado for medical treatment.
Against all chances, the kitten survived the dreadful ordeal; she was chilly and shivering at first, but eventually calmed down once she realized she was in good hands.
The staff of the Dumb Friends League stated:
“The staff discovered that she had significant edema and soreness in her front legs, particularly her left front leg,” says the doctor.
