Many little animals are given a second chance owing to rescue organizations and organisations that keep an eye on their welfare.
Gisel is one of the rescued furry females who has gone from a life of unhappiness and tragedies to appreciating the beauties of life while being surrounded by individuals who have become her genuine heroes.
Because she was not only in a dreadful situation when she came to the Chatons Orphelins Montréal shelter, but also pregnant and ready to give birth, it was important to place her in a foster family where she could be entirely comfortable and under constant care.
Gisel went into labor and gave birth to her kittens just days after moving into her new home.
Sole one of them managed to live, and this small calf clung to its mother like it was its only lifeline from the beginning.
Unfortunately, the mother’s condition deteriorated in less than 24 hours, and she was unable to eat or drink anything, much alone care for her only kid.
Gisel was taken to a veterinary facility in an emergency, and after a series of tests, it was discovered that she had numerous dangerous illnesses for which she needed to follow careful therapy in order to survive.
As a result, Gisel had to split from her calf and undergo surgery, which ultimately saved her life. But she was heartbroken not to see her son, and she grieved every day for him.
Fortunately, he regained his appetite and began to feel considerably better following the intervention. She was eventually discharged and returned to De Ella, her foster home.
She was finally reunited with her tiny child, after so much uncertainty. Celine Crom, a member of the shelter, had this to say:
“They quickly recognized each other when she returned with her cat.” She began grooming him and has been with him since.”
Pruno was constantly cared for by his foster mother, Stef, who bottle-fed him when his mother was away. Now that he’s reunited with his mother, Gisel, they’re making the most of the time they’ve had apart and have become inseparable.
This lovely mother cat has shown to be the greatest; she is extremely protective of her kitten, cleans it frequently, and enjoys snuggling with her before going to night. Celine emphasized:
“They like hugging, playing, and spending time together. They have an incredible bond.”
