This is one of those stories that makes us feel relieved because it doesn’t end in tragedy, but it also surprises us and makes us wonder how far human evil can go.
Workers at the Gorkomhoz public service center in Ulyanovsk were shocked to find a cat inside a bag on December 21, a few days before Christmas, in the city of Ulyanovsk (Russia).
When the crew stumbled across the discovery, they were working along a conveyor belt, sorting and inspecting the waste before reaching the shredder.
A man saw a sealed package with something fluffy inside in an instant, so he took it and started to make a little incision to peek inside, and to everyone’s astonishment, a gorgeous cat pushed his face out.
Mikhail Tukash was the man who saved the cat from a sad death; he showed his companions the bag with the kitten inside incredulously, and they immediately halted the conveyor belt to see what had occurred.
Tukash stated in an interview with Moskovski Komsomolets (MK) that he grasped the bag to see whether it contained any metal items and felt “something soft within.”
He stated, ”
“I sliced my finger and saw a pair of eyeballs staring at me!”
Tukash was taken aback and made a deeper cut to extract the cat, which he described as “not meowing or moving.”
The cat looked to be in good health, having been regularly fed and cared for, leading to the conclusion that he was a household cat rather than a stray. Its owners apparently decided to get rid of the small animal, and the decision they took was brutal and vicious.
These facts bring to light the truth of the daily maltreatment of thousands of animals, demonstrate that some individuals lack compassion and ideals, and demonstrate yet another act of “superiority” that demonstrates how cruel we humans can be.
Thankfully, this kitty came upon a wonderful guy who spared him from a dreadful end. He was taken to the veterinarian after the incident, who concluded that he was in good condition, and he was fed and placed in a safe place.
The story had a happy conclusion, with the feline being relocated to the Ulyanovsk region’s Ministry of the Environment and Circular Economy (Russia). The animal will now reside at that location, and all employees will be accountable for its upkeep.
The kitty was dubbed “Vice Minister of the Environment and Circular Economy” because of his popularity. In addition, a contest to name the next Minister was organized on the VK social media platform.
