People have a hard time believing Lotus isn’t a wildcat when they first meet him.

Lotus’ mother, Lindstein, told us, “Many people say he looks like a little lynx.” “Some people say he has the appearance of a little lion.”

Lotus, with his long, flowing hair and large paws, resembles both, but he’s more like your favorite cat resting on the couch. He’s a Maine coon, a large house cat breed that may weigh up to 20 pounds when fully grown.

Of course, Lotus is no exception.

Lotus is 3 years old and weighs 22 pounds, which is a lot of cat when he’s completely stretched out on the sofa. Lotus is just somewhat bigger than typical, despite the fact that some Maine coons have grown to be over 30 pounds.

Lotus’ mother had to make a few adaptations at home due to his huge stature, most notably in his bathroom. Lotus does his business in an exceptionally big plastic storage container rather than a traditional cat litter pan. Lotus can’t fit in a cat carrier while traveling, so she travels in a huge dog crate.

“When they [first] see him, both humans and dogs generally respond,” Lindstein added. “At first, many people believe he is a dog… It’s a good thing he’s nice to everyone.”

Lotus, unlike other cats, enjoys wearing his harness when out on walks.

Lotus gets to go to so many lovely locations with his family, including his Maine coon sister Marion, because he lives in Sweden.

The couple appears to like exploring and spending time outside, whether it’s going on treks or simply lounging in their green garden.

Lotus has thousands of cat-loving followers who can’t get enough of his fluffy body, thanks to his mother’s online sharing of his escapades.

Lotus, despite all of his magnificent experiences, also takes time to unwind and adore his family at the end of the day.

His purrs, snuggles, and licks are all supersized, of course.
