If you’re a cat lover, like arcade games, and coffee, the perfect spot for you, has just opened. The Catcade in Chicago, is arcade-themed cat cafe. Its concept provides digital entertainment for visitors of all ages. When you go there, you can enjoy refreshments, and also socialize with adoptable cats!
The cafe is decorated with plushy pillows, game-themed tabletops, and arcade machines that have been converted into cat caves as well.
But, it’s not all fun and games at the Cascade. It’s also a nonprofit shelter that will provide for a dozen or more cats at a time. Most of the cats are between 6 and 10 months old.
The cats are rescues from a local group called Felines & Canines. That group has helped Catcade in its business development.
Admission to the Catcade is a $15 donation. That will buy you a drink, an hour with kitties, and best of all, helps fund the facility’s operations.
There is a small stipulation for visitors, though. They ask not to bring children under the age of 7. Should you choose to adopt a cat that day, the $15 entrance donation will be deducted from the $100 adoption fee. That also covers spay, nutter surgery, shots, and microchipping. Good deal.
