A month ago, a pair of kittens aged 10 to 12 weeks were discovered in the backyard of a New York City residence. Rescuers had to use traps to save the kittens since they were too frightened to approach people.
They ultimately caught the kittens after much effort and transported them to a local city shelter for a second shot at life.
When Asa, a volunteer, learned about the situation, he jumped at the chance to help since the kittens required a foster home.
Kona, her 7-year-old dog, was looking forward to caring for the new foster kids, as it is something she and her human mother like doing. Kona, on the other hand, had been kitten-free for some days, since her recent litters had all been adopted.

Blair, Kona’s initial contact, came to her foster home first, but she was too hesitant to speak with her. She’d had very little human interaction since birth, and she didn’t appear to care about engaging with the people around her.
Kona appeared to know exactly what she wanted and enthusiastically approached the carrier to meet and greet the newcomer. Blair was gradually overpowered by the beautiful loving care of the small dog, who insisted on giving her a bath of cuddles and kisses.
Despite her impulses to flee, the kitten stayed and drank up all the affection Kona had to offer. Blair soon began rumbling through the house with her purrs, even attempting to console the small puppy as if she were her mother.
