Despite all those stereotypes about dogs and cats, getting a dog and a cat to live under the same roof is actually not impossible as many people tend to think. In fact, they could even be each other’s best friends.
Forsberg the golden retriever and Ginger the tabby used to lean on one another for eight years and a half. They kept each other’s company when their owners are not at home, they snuggled up most of the time and they shared the sweetest moments of their lives together. They were both so happy, until thyroid cancer suddenly took Ginger away at age 15.
Forsberg was desperate after the disappearance of the orange cat. He didn’t even know why. The poor boy looked for his best buddy literally every day, but it was all in vain.
It was a tough time for not only Forsberg but also the whole family. Ginger’s departure and Forsberg’s sorrow broke their owners’ heart, it’s hard to even look at his sad eyes. So not long afterward, their mom Jen Philion decided to do something to comfort his lonely soul. She brought home a black kitten named Maxwell.
Jen was not so sure how Forsberg would reach, but to her relief, the two got along really well. Forsberg gradually learned to get back to his old self, and it was all thanks to the help of the little Maxwell.
Of course, no one could ever replace Ginger and Forsberg would always remember her. But with Maxwell by his side, Forsberg’s days were a lot brighter. They’d got a friend on each other.
Several years have passed since the unforgettable period, and Maxwell has grown up cheerfully alongside his best pal. The two are still so close as day one and their bond only gets stronger over time. Such an admirable friendship.
