A kind-hearted lady in the Indiana countryside discovered a surprising surprise in her barn one morning last month. She was performing some agricultural chores when she heard an animal shriek in the barn and followed the sound to find a little kitty.
It was a little kitten, maybe ten days old, that was laying alone on the floor, terrified and freezing.
The mother hastily got some straw and wrapped it around the cat in an attempt to keep her warm and dry.
After waiting many hours for the mother to return, there was no sign of her or the other kittens in the area. So she resolved to do something for the little girl at that time, especially because the kitten’s temperature had started to drop considerably.
The mother promptly returned home with the cat and attempted to feed her as best she could, but the tiny girl refused to eat. She sought assistance from the local Catsnip Etc animal rescue organization, knowing it would be a difficult assignment for her.
“When we went to get the kitten, she was starving, thirsty, and flea-infested.”
The correct nourishment was supplied with the aid of an experienced volunteer from the shelter so that the tiny girl, who was dubbed ‘Cricket,’ could acquire vitality. Cricket grabbed the bottle and gulped the entire meal, after which the fleas were removed and she appeared to be quite active and cheerful.
The little girl went asleep in her warm, cozy bed that night, surrounded by a brown teddy bear who acted as her coat. Cricket was doing well after a few days of 24-hour specialist care; she was eating and gaining weight like a champ.
The small kitten demanded a lot of attention from the time she arrived at the rescue center and made it clear what she needed.
Sweet Cricket insisted on having a constant companion: her teddy bear. All she wants to do while her foster mother isn’t there is play with her favorite toy.
Missy expressed herself as follows:
“Her teddy bear is her ultimate favorite. He’s had it since the day she was rescued, and she takes it with her everywhere. Her teddy bear is a secure haven for her to sleep with and snuggle with.”
Cricket’s best buddy is his teddy bear, who hugs him anytime he wants a cuddle or while his mother is away. When the little girl was ready for her immunizations, she brought her closest buddy with her to the vet’s office.
Cricket clung to his teddy bear the whole time he was there, which offered him a sense of comfort and eased his transition.
