A rescued kitten will always be a tiny fighter who will do all in his power to take advantage of a new chance. Fortunately, there are many angels masquerading as ordinary people who are always eager to make a difference and shower love on innocent creatures that have been treated unfairly.
Many furry ones get an advantage thanks to these heroes, and end up gaining the hearts of those who battled valiantly to defend their life. Etienne, one of his kittens, has a sad history but a bright future.
After being caught between sheets of wood in an apartment in Manhattan, New York, United States, this beautiful kitten was saved when he was just two weeks old. Due to his fragile condition of health, he had to undergo emergency surgery.
He was soon sent to the Veterinary Emergency Group, where he received the care he required. He had to be monitored 24 hours a day due to his condition, and surgery had to be performed as quickly as possible to avoid infection.
Fortunately, a tiny angel appeared in his life not long after and decided to take him in. Dr. Camille Duvieusart BVMS decided to provide him with everything he would require for the procedure. Etienne had a lot of courage and a strong determination to survive, despite his fragile state.
Little Wanderers NYC was happy to treat the kitty after his first medical clinic sent him to them. The following is what the organization had to say about it:
“We were glad to assist the Veterinay Emergency Group when they called us.”
The risk of infection was exceedingly high due to his size and young age, so his rescuers arranged surgery as quickly as possible.
“The Animal Medical Center’s surgeons decided that waiting was too hazardous, so they operated on him when he was very small. The surgery went off without a hitch.”
Fortunately, the brave kitty made it through the procedure and was reunited with his foster mother and a lovely dog who never left his side. Little Wanderers NYC had this to say about it:
“In a severe accident at a hoarder’s house, Etienne lost half his leg. With this damage, he must have been in his sixth life. He suffered a total limb amputation and is doing really well thanks to the great personnel at Animal Medical Center.”
This little ball of fur triumphed over all of the challenges. He stayed quiet and at ease for several days.
The entire rehabilitation process was overseen by Dr. Camille, who couldn’t help but fall head over heels in love with such a sweet kitty and knew it would become a permanent member of her family.
Etienne appreciates all of the attention she receives as well as the companionship of her new best friend, a dog who has been unconditional from the start.
Etienne made a remarkable recovery in just a few weeks, revealing his cheeky and lively attitude. Despite lacking a limb, he likes to explore and run around the home like any other cat. The rescue center went on to say:
“This gorgeous kitten survived the accident, had one leg amputated, and sprints quicker than a full-speed bullet.”
