These beautiful grey-haired angels are Lincoln and Reilly. They got rescued since their birth and suffered from FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). FIP is a viral disease caused by a feline coronavirus that affects the brain, liver, kidneys, lungs, and skin of cats. Although it isn’t considered to be contagious, this disease can be almost fatal when it hits an animal.
After the rescue, Lincoln and Reilly were adopted by Christine, who stood by their sides to fight against FIP. At that time, the two babies were about one month old, very weak, and needed human care. But they were two adorable boys when they started shaky steps to find Christine’s arms for cuddles.
When the baby boys became older, they were taken to the vet for treatment. Two-month-old Reilly was a great adventurer, while his brother Lincoln was a little quiet at the clinic. Coming home from the vet, they were fed with good milk, and the kittens seemed to like it so much. Christine also began training her sons to eat solid food. Even though they didn’t get used to the new food, they found it delicious.
Thanks to the love and care of the foster mom, the little kittens grew up into cheerful cats. They loved running under the table for play and staying beside their tender mom. They are true warriors in the battle with FIP. After months of fighting with the disease, Lincoln became a FIP survivor in 2019. His little brother, Reilly, continued being treated for FIP with good treatment and the best love of the doctor.
Now, Reilly and Lincoln are under the special care of foster mom, Christine. Reilly is still fighting with FIP and her treatment is going well. Let’s pray for sweetheart Reilly to recover soon.
